ANNUAL GUIDES 2017
Every two years, Promech Publishing gets together with Martin Bailey from ILS to put together the bi-annual RACK USERS GUIDE, to be published in October 2018.
The aim of this publication is to assist manufacturers, installers, users and maintenance personnel in the correct implementation of rack storage systems.
The guidelines form broad-based instructions on the design, installation and operation of racking systems and, if followed, will ensure that all racking systems are safe.
It must, however, be noted that there are numerous types of equipment and racking available in the marketplace and new developments may supersede some of the technical guidelines shown.
The guidelines are thus meant to be an indication of good engineering practice rather than rigid instructions for specific design implementation.
As an invaluable reference document, the RACK USERS GUIDE is an essential tool for users in warehousing throughout industry.
“Supply Chain Today” has sought endorsements for two rea-sons: to have our publication acknowledged by experts in the field and as a means of guaranteeing a bona fide and relevant read-ership. As such we are one of only two publications to be en-dorsed by EVERY body in the supply chain fraternity as follows:
- CCF (Cold Chain Forum)
- CGCSA (Consumer Goods Council of South Africa)
- CILTSA (Chartered Institute of Logistics & Transport: SA)
- SAAFF (The South African Association of Freight Forwarders)
- SAEPA (SA Express Parcel Association)
- SAPICS (Association for Operations Management of Southern Africa
- CSCMP (Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals)
The RACK USERS GUIDE is distributed with the Nov/Dec 2018 issue and given out at every conference/exhibition/seminar where “Supply Chain Today” is a media partner providing a printed circulation of 4 171 copies. In addition it is emailed to our on-line circulation of 7 200 readers.
