Licence Expanded for Pharmaceutical Bonded Facilities

Imperial Logistics was recently awarded a revised license for their pharmaceutical bonded warehouse in Centurion, South Africa.
Over the past ten years, the warehouse has operated within the Medicines Control Council (MCC) license exclusions, which restricted warehousing activities to certain donated antiretrovirals.
“The revised license will enable us to provide additional services to our clients and our patients across the continent, whether through commercial, donor-funded or government channels,” says Healthcare Strategy Executive, Dr Iain Barton.
The bonded warehouses will improve and accelerate distribution, as well as offer financial benefits. “Our clients’ products will be able to reach patients faster. Delivery of medicines and healthcare products will also be more cost-effective,” he concludes.
The warehouse is currently one of only two pharmaceutical bonded facilities in South Africa.
